Jeanne Hinton

Jeanne Hinton died peacefully on May 17, 2023 with her son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Allison by her side. She was 82 years old and was living at Stone Creek of Flying Horse assisted living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jeanne was born on November 15, 1940 in Trinidad, CO to Anibale Musso and Elizabeth Musso (Oxandaburu). She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School from kindergarten through 12th grade, and went on to earn her Cosmetology Degree from the Beauty College in Pueblo, CO. On October 18th, 1959, Jeanne married Donald A. Hinton and the Lord blessed them with four beautiful children; Ramey, Scott, Stan and Beth. Jeanne’s greatest joy came from her four children. Some of her fondest memories were made with all four kids and their many years of rodeo competitions. Jeanne’s working life included owning and operating “Jeanne’s Beauty Salon”, working at The Charter at Beaver Creek, providing professional cleaning services to the Vail Racquet Club (1976-1993), and owning and operating USA Drying (1993-1999). Jeanne took great pride in working hard – and her strong work ethic lives on today in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Some of Jeanne’s favorite things: loving and caring for her many beloved pets, telling of her rich Basque family heritage, her strong Catholic faith and love of the Lord, and the many lifelong and cherished friendships she made. Jeanne is survived and missed by her four children; Ramey Hinton, Scott Hinton (Allison), Stan Hinton (Krissy) and Beth Hinton. Forever cherished by her grandchildren, Rod Gull, Michael Hinton (Jessica), Jacie Arredondo, Elizabeth Wilson (Daryl), K’Lee Forbes (Jesse), Danielle Roth (Dan), Bryce Hinton, Ryan Hinton (Jessica), Reed Hinton, Renea Hinton, Lane Baker and Lindee Lauhon. Her memory lives on with her 21 great grandchildren and her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeanne was predeceased by her father Anibale Musso, mother Elizabeth Serafino (Oxandaburu), stepfather Joe Serafino, brother Raymond Musso and granddaughter Rudy Dawn Gull. Rosary. 1:30 pm followed by, Funeral Mass, 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 25, 2023, St. Paul the Apostle Church, 1132 W. Oro Grande Dr., Pueblo West, CO 81007. Interment will follow, Mountain View Cemetery, 1315 Acero Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004. Reception following, Fraternal Order of Eagles, 348 S. McCulloch Blvd., Pueblo West, CO 81007. Service may be viewed through Live stream on Facebook and YouTube at Romero Family Funeral Home Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or your local animal shelter.
