Matthew Cody Mikulas

Matthew Cody Mikulas, 34, of Pueblo, Colorado, died suddenly on November 18, 2024. Matthew was born on April 1, 1990, in Casper, Wyoming, to his parents, Debbie Mikulas and Rory Mikulas. After graduating from Centennial High School in 2008, he studied Culinary Arts at the Pueblo Community College. Realizing that was not his path, he enrolled in Intelitec College to study as an electrician; however, he could not complete his degree after his unexpected passing. Matthew is survived by both his parents, Debbie Mikulas and Rory Mikulas; his older brother, Christopher Mikulas, sister-in-law Mariah Mikulas, nephew Waylon Mikulas, niece Reagan Mikulas; his older sister, Athena Garcia; brother-in-law Joseph Garcia; nephew Leonidas Garcia. He is also survived by his grandmother, Marge Patterson, Uncle Jimmy Patterson, Aunt Melissa Patterson, Cousins Makayla Patterson, Mackenzie Patterson, Diesel Patterson, and Jackson Patterson, along with his Aunt Anne Andrews, Uncle Jason Andrews, and cousin Carolyn Andrews. Also, his aunt Cindy French, Uncle Kenny Patterson, Aunt Dee Patterson, Cousins Megan Patterson, and Shannon Patterson. Matthew was known for his contagious laugh that would brighten any room. He loved the Greenbay Packers and would watch football faithfully, playing multiple fantasy football leagues. He would always wear his Greenbay Packers clothing, even if they lost, as a true fan. Matthew was a very intellectual individual who was humble and believed in what was right. Fighting for what was right and not worrying about political correctness. He had a big heart that could not compete with anyone and always drove the speed limit, which for a young man was amazing. His passion was Isabella, his K9 companion, whom he had rescued from the shelter. He was very protective of Isabella, and she would usually get the royal treatment of eggs and steak instead of dog food. Matthew was one of a kind, and those who knew him were blessed. He is gone but not forgotten, he will be loved, and hoping that he will haunt us as promised. We love you, Matthew, the April Fool Brother! Please bring a memory of Matthew that can be shared.
