Michael John Blair

Michael J. Blair, 74, of Pueblo West, CO went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Blair and Jeannie Blair. He is survived by his sisters, Pat Walton (Matt Walton), Kathy Parsons (Bruce Parsons), and Teresa Jones; children, Rosalinda Montoya (Rodney Montoya) and Marcos Blair (Christi Blair); Grandchildren, Delanierose Lopez (Christian Lopez), Justin Russell-Blair, Brianna Montoya, Tyler Blair, and Kaitlyn Blair. Michael Blair was born in Tacoma WA, October 6, 1950. Graduated high school in Las Vegas, NV and graduated with his bachelor’s in science from New Mexico State University. His military career began at the age of 18. He served his country in the US Navy as a Radarman 3&2 and fought in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. He worked for various companies throughout his work career and retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory after over 30 years of service. Michael was married to his beautiful and devoted wife, Francisca Blair for over 52 years where they built a life of love, raised their children, and created wonderful memories to last a lifetime. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gathering for the holidays, and exploring different places on summer vacation trips. He enjoyed fishing, camping and doing projects on his home. He really enjoyed nature and took every opportunity to take it in whether it was simply sitting outside under his gazebo smoking his pipe or taking a walk in the mountains. He was very talented as he played the trumpet, taught himself to play the guitar, and piano. He also taught himself to speak Spanish, and Tagalog (Filipino dialect). He was a devoted man to his loved ones and always worked hard to provide a good life for his wife and children. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and continually pursued a relationship with his creator. Michael will be greatly missed by all family and friends. His legacy will continue as well as all the precious memories made. Service will be livestreamed through Facebook and YouTube at Romero Family Funeral Home Pueblo.
