Thomas Merl McClure

Thomas Merl McClure, 66, our family's most awesome mechanic, went home to work side-by-side with God, the ultimate master mechanic, and our precious Daddy in Heaven's garage. God called Tom home January 19, 2025, after a lengthy, very hard fought battle with cancer. Tom was welcomed home by our Dad and Mom, James M and Mary C McClure, his daughter, Chrissy Jordan and his great grandson, Elijah Jordan; siblings: Grace (Dave) Faix, Mary Kay Catron, Darlene (Karl) Hoyt; John (Jonna) McClure, Michael Taylor, Robert Mellon, our nephews Patrick & Thomas McClure and Matthew Niccoli; our grandparents: Tom and Grace Connor, Merl (Juanita) McClure, and Anna (Larry) Ross, his aunts & uncles: Bill Connor, James Connor, Liz Connor, Betty Connor, Carolyn Connor, Uncle Robert, Aunt Melba, and our cousin John Paul Connor. Also, his in-laws: Anna Mae (Duke) Jordan, Richard Bright Sixkiller, and brothers and sister-in-laws: Patty Conger, Sonny Conger, Allen Conger, Jannie Conger, Barbie Conger, Carl Conger, Gilbert Conger and Tommy Conger. Thomas is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Debbie; his children: Tommy Jr McClure, Amanda (James) Ulery, Timmy Jordan and Shawnee Jordan; his grandchildren: Shyann Jordan, Sky Jordan, Tommy McClure III, Jaden McClure, Isaiah McClure, Dutch McClure, Hunter Ulery, James Ulery and Ryan Ulery; and his great grandchildren, Chris Jordan and Jaden McClure Jr. Our siblings: Patricia Taylor, James (Sandy) McClure, Melody McClure, Daniel McClure, Cheri (Doug) Niccoli and Velvet (Bobby) Serena. Nieces & nephews: Rochelle, Brad, Jason, Vickiy, Paul, John, Sarah, Esther, Jennifer, Michelle, Patricia, Shawntelle, Tiffany, Jim, Tracy, Crystal, Tiffany, Josh, Patrick, Karl, Chad, Zach, Craig, Danielle, Johnie, Jojo, Yogi, Zachary, Justin, Sammy, Noah, Buddie, Connor, Robert, Allen, Cameron, Alisha and John; Numerous great nieces & nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins; and countless friends who were blessed by his wisdom and his crazy humor. Tom was born on August 6, 1958 to James & Mary McClure. He graduated from Pueblo Central High School, 1976. He grew up with a natural curiosity for understanding how things worked & learned all about cars while working along side his Dad as he grew up. He developed a passion that guided him to become an extraordinary transmission specialist and mechanic. Known for his unmatched skill under the hood, he not only repaired vehicles, but brought peace of mind to everyone who trusted him with their cars. For over 40 years, he spent his days ensuring that transmissions and engines ran smoothly and that his loved ones could travel safely. Thomas wasn't just a mechanic—he was the family’s go-to problem solver, a steady hand in times of trouble, and a source of laughter and warmth in every gathering. Whether it was a late-night phone call for a quick repair or a simple piece of advice, he was always there; ready to lend a helping hand. His acts of kindness extended far beyond his family, as he shared his talents and heart with everyone who crossed his path. As a husband, Thomas was a pillar of love and devotion. He shared a bond with his wife, Debbie, that was rooted in mutual respect, laughter, and a deep, unwavering commitment to each other. Together, they built a life filled with shared dreams, cherished moments and countless memories; supporting one another through life’s challenges that will live on forever in her heart. Tom embodied what it meant to be a true partner in every sense of the word. As a proud husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle, Tom found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. From teaching his children and grandchildren; nieces and nephews the basics of mechanics to sharing stories around the table, he embodied the meaning of love and support. His kindness, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to his family will forever be remembered and cherished.
