Athrea Michelle Pettis, age 45, of Alamosa, Colorado went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rena Pettis and is survived by her husband of 17 years, Nakia Johnson; children, Armani Webster, Shawnesse Bailey, Ashley Pettis, Caleb Zuchowski, Nakia Pettis and Nakisha Johnson; her granddaughter and joy of her life, Aaliyha Pettis and sister, Sarah Pettis. Athrea was a very funny lady with a good heart. She loved cooking and her family meant everything to her, especially spending quality time with her granddaughter. Athrea had a desire to pursue a law degree in order to become a victim's advocate. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that anyone desiring to help with funeral costs to contact the funeral home directly for more information.
