June Elizabeth Lytle

June Elizabeth Morrell Lytle, passed away on January 26, 2025, in the home of her daughter, Debbie, while surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 13, 1938, in Pueblo, CO. She was the 7th of 11 children born to Harry Roy Morrell and Zelda Barger Morrell. Growing up, June was a real tomboy. She loved playing and watching sports, particularly softball, and spending time with her father working on cars. June attended schools in Pueblo and graduated from Central High School in 1956. She met Carl Albert Lytle in 1959, and they were married on March 17 of the following year and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for time and all eternity. They were happily married for 60 years. Together they had six children. June was a devoted wife and mother. She supported her husband throughout his professional career and her children in all their sporting and school activities. In addition, June took on part-time jobs to help supplement the family income. In 1993, Carl, June, and their youngest daughter, Romi, moved to Pocatello, ID. They spent 12 years there. While there, June worked as a Medical Billing Clerk at Intermountain Healthcare. Upon Carl’s retirement in 2005, they returned to their beloved hometown of Pueblo. In her later life, June enjoyed simple things. Finding “treasures” and antiques at garage sales, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, watching sports on TV, doing word puzzles, visiting with friends and family, and going out to eat. June had many admirable qualities! She could find humor in even the most difficult situations. June loved her family fiercely and was so proud of every one of them. She was concerned for the welfare until the end. June was a friend to all. She always thought the best of everyone she knew and met and never spoke unkind words about anyone. June was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. June is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Zelda Morrell; 7 of her siblings (Melvin, Sammy, Eleanor, Charles, Nellie, Johnny, and Barbara); her husband Carl (2020); and daughter, Sharon (stillborn). She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Ogden (Twin Falls, ID), Caroline Camp (Portland, OR), and Edith Brown (Ogden, UT). Her Children, Debbie Lee (Kim), Avondale, CO. Janet Hidalgo, Pueblo West, CO; Curtis Lytle (Melissa), Layton, UT; Craig Lytle (Maria), Pueblo West, CO; and Romi Weaver (Dustin), Idaho Falls, ID. There are 16 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren, with one more on the way. Special thanks to Debbie Lee for taking Mom into her home and lovingly caring for her for the last two years of her life. Mom loved being there with Debbie, and the family greatly appreciates her love and sacrifice to her. Also, our profound gratitude to the nurses of Allelon Hospice for their kind care of our mother. And a special thank you also to Desi Lee for her skilled assistance in caring for Mom and making her more comfortable.
