Linda Hatley

Linda Hatley, 83, of Pueblo West, Colorado, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and guided home by word of God. She was born on March 16, 1942, in Childress, Texas and from the very beginning, Linda lived life boldly and on her own terms. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Walker and Marjorie Hatley; siblings, Iris, James, Doris and Judy; bonus son, Nicholas; beloved grandchildren, Tausha Bond, Jesse Moots and Desarae “Desi” Jones, who she now holds close again. She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Faustino and Nancy Moline; children, Larry Joe Herbig, Terry Sue (Tom) Bond, Sheryl Lee (John) Rhodes and Martha Ann (late husband Greg) Catlin; along with bonus daughter-in-law, Kathy Herbig. Linda leaves an xtraordinary legacy of love through her eighteen grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren; five geart - great grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, extended family members whom she loved as her own. Linda lived with a wild heart and infectious sense of humor. She was known for her un forgettable hairdos, bold style and a personality that could fill a room. She had a special gift for lifting people up, believing that even in life’s toughest moments, confidence, self-expression and a joyful heart could carry you through. She always reminded everyone that being unapologetically yourself is a true gift. Rooted deeply in her faith, Linda’s heart was naturally turned toward service. She lived a life of showing up, no questions asked. She never made anyone feel indebted; she simply helped because it was who she was. Whether running restaurants, wrangling babies at daycare or caring for people in their final chapters of life. Linda managed chaos with love, grit and grace, helping many navigate life’s challenges and even their journey home to Jesus with dignity and respect. She cherished her last precious years with Terry, her partner in laughter, beach trips, shopping adventures, sand between their toes and memories made sweeter with Alyssa keeping them out of trouble. Her idea of paradise was simple: a bucket of crab, a beach and being left alone to enjoy it. Linda played hard, but anyone who knew her also knew she was a softy at heart. That same heart poured boundless love into her family, leaving a legacy of mischief, laughter, devotion and wild, unforgettable memories that will live on through generations. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
